The "Ways & Means" Community Foundation, formally known as The Livius Paoli Foundation, was established in 2004. The creation of the Foundation was inspired by the recognition of a lifetime of work given by Fr. Livius Paoli, a Benedictine Monk, to enhance the way of life within communities. He passed away in 2007 at the age of 94.
Although the Livius Paoli Foundation was created as a separate legal entity from the Parish of which Fr. Livius was a pastor or assistant pastor of for nearly sixty years, because of its name, the Livius Paoli Foundation has been oftentimes mistakenly assumed to be a parish or a religious organization. Therefore, effective January 1, 2010, the name of the Foundation was changed and is now doing business as The "Ways & Means" Community Foundation. The Foundation's mission and vision remains unchanged and still shows a commitment to provide the leadership and resources necessary to help improve the way of life within communities.
